Qëllimi/ fusha e ekspertizës:
Qendra Kërkimore-Shkencore e Albanologjisë dhe Ballkanistikës (QKSHAB) pranë Fakultetit të Shkencave Humane (FSHH) të Universitetit “Ismail Qemali”, Vlorë,është një strukturë shkencore autonome me karakter ndërdisiplinor dhe ndërballkanik, dhe ka për qëllim zhvillimin e kërkimit shkencor në fushat albanologjike dhe ballkanistike.
Objektivat kryesore:
1. QKSHAB-ja synon të veprojë në fushat: antropologji, arkeologji, histori, gjeografi, etnologji, folklor, gjuhë, letërsi, qytetërim, komunikim ndërkulturor dhe fusha të tjera.
2. QKSHAB-ja kryen kërkim të thelluar shkencor, përfshihet në formimin pasuniversitar të studentëve dhe të kërkuesve, si dhe shërbime e transferime të njohurive në fushat e identitetit, të kulturës, të pasurisë materiale e shpirtërore dhe të historisë së botës shqiptare.
3. QKSHAB-ja organizon ekspedita në terren, kërkime në arkiva, shkëmbime botimesh, nisma institucionale për probleme të pazgjidhura shkencore, konferenca, botime, ekspozita, promovime dhe veprimtari të tjera.
4. QKSHAB-ja përpunon mendimin shkencor të përparuar, që t’u paraprirë zhvillimeve shoqërore e kulturore, dhe shërben si një mbështetje e fuqishme për hartimin dhe përpunimin e projekteve hulumtuese në fushat e albanologjisë e ballkanistikës.
5. QKSHAB-ja kujdeset për hapjen e dijeve dhe vlerave të kërkimit shkencor, nëpërmjet mediatizimit të tyre, si dhe nëpërmjet formave të tjera të transmetimit të informacionit.
