Bazuar në politikën mbështetëse për inovacionet ose shpikjet në UV, në strukturën e re organizative të UV është miratuar krijimi i Qendrave Kërkimore Shkencore që do të operojnë në secilin Fakultet.
Qendra Kërkimore Shkencore e Fakultetit të Shkencave Teknike nuk është krijuar rishtas por është vazhdimësi e Qendrës së Kërkimit Shkencor – Studime Mjedisore të Universitetit të Vlorës e cila është hapur për herë të parë më 24.11.2008.
Në përgjithësi studimet e realizuara nga qendra kanë qenë me karakter mjedisor, monitorime të mjedisit në lidhje me gazet ndotës të atmosferës, hidrokarburet aromatike dhe poliaromatike, pesticide e ngarkesë bakteriologjike, parametra fiziko/kimikë, gjeomjedis e gjeoturizëm, biologji detare etj.
Qendra Kërkimore Shkencore e Fakultetit të Shkencave Teknike përbëhet nga:
- Përgjegjësi i Qendrës Kërkimore Shkencore
- Dy Specialistë (personel akademik)
- Një Personel Ndihmës Akademik në funksion të Laborantit.
Me riorganizimin e Qendrës Kërkimore Shkencore është menduar që të ofrohen disa fusha studimi në mënyrë që të rritet impakti i kërkimit shkencor si:
- Studimet Mjedisore
- Metodat Fizike dhe Instrumentale të Analizës
- Materiale dhe metodat Inxhinerike. Transporti dhe teknologjia detare
- Zhvillim sistemesh në kohe reale, analizë statistikore të dhënash dhe modelim njohurish
Ndër objektivat dhe detyrat kryesore të Qendrës Kërkimore Shkencore e Fakultetit të Shkencave Teknike janë:
- Krijimi i një infrastrukture bashkëkohore nëpërmjet vendosjes në funksion të plotë dhe përforcimit të laboratorëve të Qendra Kërkimore Shkencore e Fakultetit të Shkencave Teknike që do të ndihmojnë në zhvillimin e kërkimit shkencor të stafit akademik të Fakultetit Shkencave Teknike.
- Mbështetjen e realizimit të programeve të studimeve “Master i Shkencave” dhe “Doktoratë” të ofruara nga departamentet e fakultetit si dhe për kryerjen e shërbimeve në ndihmë të të tretëve.
- Sa i përket ambjenteve të Qendrës Kërkimore Shkencore të Fakultetit të Shkencave Teknike, deri tani kanë qenë në dispozicion të saj dy laboratore në Godinën C të Fakultetit të Shkencave Teknike të cilat janë të pajisura me pajisje e mjete ne ndihmë të kërkimit Shkencor.
- Shumë shpejt do të mundësohet edhe ngritja e një laboratori të tretë dhe riorganizim i ambienteve të Qendrës dhe pajisja e tyre me pajisje laboratorike bashkekohore (proces ky që ka nisur e do të vazhdojë).
Ndër pajisjet që disponon Qendra Kërkimore Shkencore e Fakultetit të Shkencave Teknike përmendim:
- Spektrometer i Absorbimit Atomik, sistem atomizimi me flakë
- Gazkromatograf
- Spektrofotometër UV-VIS
- Pajisje Disgregimi Mikrovalë
- Mikroskop të thjeshtë e dixhital stereo
- Dedektor universal ultrasonik
- Testues për fortësinë
- Pajisje Analitike (X-ray fluoreshencë) për struktura kristalore
- pH-meter
- Konduktmeter
- Pajisje të thjeshta analitike etj.
Nëpërmjet këtyre pajisjeve laboratorike është i mundur përcaktimi i parametrave të ndryshëm të cilësisë së mjedisit si: ndotësit organikë e inorganik ( metale të rënda në mostra të llojeve të ndryshme, gazet ndotës të atmosferës, hidrokarburet aromatike dhe poliaromatike, ndotësit klororganikë, nutrientët, lëndët e ngurta të tretura e në suspension, parametra fiziko-kimikë etj.) duke mundësuar në këtë mënyrë realizimin e studimeve të ndryshme mjedisore dhe jo vetëm.
- Rritja e rendimentit të aplikimeve për projekte të përbashkëta kombëtare dhe ndërkombëtare do të arrihet dhe nën ndihmesën edhe të Sektorit të Projekteve dhe Marrëdhënieve me Jashtë.
- Mundësimi për aplikim për marrje fondesh nga Agjensia Kombëtare për Kërkim Zhvillim e Inovacion në lidhje me ngritjen e metodikave analitike në Qendrën Kërkimore Shkencore të Fakultetit të Shkencave Teknike.
- Krijimi i lidhjeve të qëndrueshme me partnerë ndërkombëtarë. Në kuadër të ngritjes dhe zbatimit të metodikave analitike në qendër do të kërkohet mundësimi i bashkëpunimit (marrje e përvojës) me universitete të shteteve fqinjë si Universiteti i Janinës, Barit, Leces e Tetovës etj.
- Kërkimi shkencor do të vihet në shërbim të rajonit dhe më gjerë duke realizuar projekte kërkimore të përbashkëta me njësitë vendore, universitete brenda dhe jashtë vendit .
- Kryerja dhe ofrimi i shërbimeve (kryerja e analizave) për palë të interesuara mënyrë kjo për të rritur të ardhurat e Qendrës dhe të UV dhe më tej fuqizimin e saj.
- Organizimi në mënyrë periodike (çdo dy-tre vjet) dhe pjesëmarrja në Evente të ndryshme shkencore si: Konferenca Shkencore, WorkShop, Seminare në të cilat Qendra Kërkimore Shkencore do të bëjë publike rezultatet e kërkimit shkencor të realizuar nga stafi akademik apo edhe studentë.
- Pasurimi i literaturës dhe krijimi i një data base për Qendrën Kërkimore Shkencore të Fakultetit të Shkencave Teknike në ndihmë të realizimit të kërkimit shkencor prej studentëve e stafit akademik.
- Botimi i rezultateve të kërkimit shkencor të realizuar nga stafi akademik apo edhe studentë në Buletinin Shkencor të UV si dhe në revista Shkencore Kombëtare e Ndërkombëtare.
Based on the supportive policy for innovations or invention in UV and the new organizational structure of UV approved the creation of Scientific Research Centers that will operate in each faculty.
The Scientific Research Center of the Faculty of Technical Sciences is not newly created but is a continuation of the Center for Scientific Research – Environmental Studies of the University of Vlora which was opened for the first time on 24.11.2008.
In general, the studies carried out by the center have been of an environmental nature, environmental monitoring related to the polluting gases of the atmosphere, aromatic and polyaromatic hydrocarbons, pesticides, bacteriological loads, physical / chemical parameters, geo-environment and geo-tourism, marine biology.
The Scientific Research Center of the Faculty of Technical Sciences is composed of:
- Head of the Scientific Research Center
- Two Specialists (academic staff)
- An Academic Assistant for the Laboratory.
With the reorganization of the Scientific Research Center it is thought to be offered some areas of study in order to increase the impact of scientific research such as:
- Environmental studies
- Physical and Instrumental Methods of Analysis
- Engineering Materials and Methods. Shipping and marine technology
- Real-time systems development, statistical analysis of data and knowledge modeling
Among the main objectives and tasks of the Scientific Research Center of the Faculty of Technical Sciences are:
- Creating a modern infrastructure through full functionality and strengthening the laboratories of the Scientific Research Center of the Faculty of Technical Sciences that will assist in the development of scientific research of the academic staff of the Faculty.
- The support of the realization of study programs ” Master of Science” and “Doctorate” offered by faculty departments as well as for providing services in assisting third parties.
- About the facilities of the Scientific Research Center of the Faculty of Technical Sciences so far have had in its diposal two laboratories in the Building C of the Faculty of Technical Science, which are equipped with tools in support of scientific research.
- It will soon be possible to set up a third laboratory and reorganize the Center’s facilities and equip them with contemporary laboratory equipment (a process that has started and will continue).
Among the equipment available at the Scientific Research Center of the Faculty of Technical Sciences are:
- Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, flame atomization system
- Gaschromatograph
- UV-VIS spectrophotometer
- Microwave Disconnect Equipment
- Simple stereo digital stereo microscope
- Universal ultrasonic detector
- Hardness testers
- Analytical Equipment (X-ray Fluorescence) for crystalline structures
- pH-meter
- Conductor meter
- Simple analytical equipment etc.
Through these laboratory equipment, it is possible to define different parameters of environmental quality such as: organic and inorganic pollutants (heavy metals in various types of samples, pollutant atmosphere gases, aromatic and polyaromatic hydrocarbons, chlororganic pollutants, nutrients, solid and suspended solids, physicochemical parameters etc.) thus enabling the realization of various environmental studies and not only.
- Increasing the performance of applications for joint national and international projects will be achieved both under the auspices of the Projects and External Relations Sector.
- Facilitating application for fundraising by the National Agency for Research, Development and Innovation in relation to the establishment of analytical methods at the Scientific Research Center of the Faculty of Technical Sciences.
- Establishing sustainable ties with international partners. In the framework of the establishment and implementation of analytical methods in the center, cooperation will be required with the universities of neighboring countries such as the University of Ioannina, Bari, Lecce and Tetovo.
- Scientific research will be put to the service of the region and beyond by carrying out joint research projects with local units, home and foreign universities.
- Carrying out and providing services (conducting analyzes) for stakeholders so as to increase the Center’s and UV revenues and further its empowerment.
- Organize periodically (every two to three years) and participate in various scientific events such as: Scientific Conference, WorkShop, Seminars in which the Scientific Research Center will make public the results of scientific research conducted by academic staff or students.
- Enrichment of the literature and creation of a database for the Scientific Research Center of the Faculty of Technical Sciences to assist in the realization of scientific research by students and academic staff.
- Publication of scientific research results conducted by academic staff or students in the UV Bulletin and in the National and International Scientific Magazines.
