Extracurricular program with students and lecturers.

The International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition is a global astronomy competition that challenges students to think beyond textbooks by solving real-world astronomy and astrophysics problems on an international platform. Since its launch in 2019, IAAC has reached over 28,000 students and involved 1,400 educators from more than 120 countries.

This year’s competition is open to students from around the world, offering them the chance to win awards, cash prizes and telescopes signed by the astronaut Frank De Winne and Nobel Prize laureates François Englert, Michel Mayor, Gerard ‘t Hooft and Didier Queloz.

The deadline for the Qualification Round is Friday, 04 July 2025, and participation is entirely online. All materials, including this year’s problem set and promotional resources, are available on our website: https://iaac.space

Please share this exciting opportunity with your students and lecturers. By joining the IAAC, your students will not only grow their skills in astronomy and astrophysics but also gain valuable experience that can set them apart academically.
