Course Objectives
This course is based on two knowledge prerequisites:
- mastery of the target language;
- in-depth knowledge of the source language.
Additionally, it is based on three aptitude prerequisites:
- speed of reaction;
- ability to adapt without delay to speakers, situations, and subjects;
- powers of concentration.
The aim of this course is to prepare interpreters who will know how to:
- Professionally interpret in the simultaneous mode for conferences;
- Efficiently deal with difficult situations during interpreting;
- Thoroughly prepare for the conference session;
- Ethically behave with their supervisors, colleagues and clients.
